The Inaugural Parade

The streets were lined with many people and there were grandstands
set up for people to watch the parade go by.
45 groups participated in this year's parade
including a group from Cuba, Equador and as far as Croatia!

Where else can you find a parade where the floats are moving stages
equiped with a PA system to transport the participants in the Festival?

Mariachi Voz de America, Los Angeles, CA Mariachi Corazon de Oro, Tucson, Arizona
Mariachi Santa Cecilia, San Jose, California Mariachi Escorpion, Brownsville, Texas
Mariachi Juvenil Batiz of Nogales, Arizona Mariachi Riverside of El Paso, Texas

Between the groups of mariachis were also folklorico dancers, charros on horseback and Escaramusas.
